OUR MISSION

NAARV’s mission is to ensure the health and well-being of the racehorse through protecting and improving the veterinary care, treatment and welfare of the equine athlete; to advance the treatment of disease and injury using evidence based medicine, to relieve animal suffering and to be proactive in advocating for and administering preventive veterinary care.  Through education programs, the association will provide the opportunity to improve the knowledge and skills of its members and increase the public’s awareness of the medical needs of the racehorse and the scientific basis for the practice of equine veterinary medicine.
